Of course, I get curious on how the game was played . Reading the rules in playing the game, there are terms that were not fully understand but I am giving it a try to compare if the methods were exactly the same as how we play it here in our country.
Ancient times, Mahjong had started evolving in some Asian countries and that includes us here in the Philippines. Years have been passing and this game changes and were modified. Lucky are those who have learned the rel game Mahjong. Topics about the Mahjong history have been for years but still no fixed statement could tell where it originally came from or who really invented this game.
Here's a little overview of how it was played by the Chinese people. Four people in a table perfect for the tiles to be mixed up is needed. Much better if there is a powder, for a smooth play. Originally, each player receives thirteen (13) tiles. Some people have been playing Mahjong for gambling purposes, while others are for recreation alone.
If you are too curious about the game and wanted to learn it try playing it online or you can have someone to teach you. At first try, you may find it hard but as you absorb what is taught to you, you do not have to worry for it will be too easy for you and it's fun.
